180 km along the south-east coast of Mauritius
This 180 km race offers a challenge as demanding as it is magnificent, tracing one of the most beautiful stretches of the Mauritian coastline. The start is in Blue Bay, on the south-west coast, before heading east along the coastal road. Cyclists will enjoy long flat sections, perfect for maintaining a steady pace, while taking in the turquoise lagoons, fishing villages, and the characteristic landscapes of the island’s south.
The route continues to the Touesrock roundabout, at the easternmost point, which marks the halfway turn. From there, participants retrace the same route in the opposite direction to return to Blue Bay. Each out-and-back is 90 km, so two laps make up the total distance of 180 km.
With the shimmering sea on one side and mountains in the backdrop on the other, this race promises total immersion in the authentic charm of the south-east coast of Mauritius.
Running Course – 42 km
The run consists of 4 laps of a 10.3 km loop, for a total distance of 42 km. Starting from Blue Bay, runners follow the coastal road towards Pointe d'Esny, running alongside the lagoon and enjoying the sea breeze.
They then enter part of the village of Mahebourg, crossing its lively streets until reaching the Beauvallon roundabout. From there, the course turns onto the Pointe d'Esny bypass, offering a smoother stretch that gradually leads back to the transition area.
Swim Course – 3.8 km
The swim takes place in the magnificent Blue Bay, at the heart of the Marine Park on Mauritius’ south-east coast. This protected site, renowned for its calm, crystal-clear waters, is home to an exceptional wealth of corals, tropical fish, and breathtaking underwater scenery.
Athletes will cover 3.8 km following a triangular course, clearly marked to ensure both safety and smooth flow.
